Autumn/Winter 2021 'For the Earth'

STELAR's founder and designer, Lorna Watson, draws on her personal heritage for the brand's Autumn/Winter 21 collection, finding inspiration in the space where Balinese beliefs overlap with her Scottish roots. The collection takes us into a world of folkloric wilderness, celebrating nature's innate interconnectedness and the familiarity it brings, wherever we are in the world.

PATTERN AND TEXTURE

The palette is pulled from the rich, warming tones created by Autumn's low-lying sun, be it over the lochs of Scotland or the lakes of Bali. Paired with patterns and textures that are inspired by the vegetation of both forest and jungle, mountain and valley, nature's universal and sacred balance is honoured through each item's design.

Canvas, leather and natural grasses combine to create new tech-travel essentials, with must-have AirPod and Smartphone cases making it into the range. In addition, STELAR's staple totes are re-realised in captivating colourways, handwoven in soft, shape-shifting leather for versatile, everyday, hold-all accessories that are designed to be used again and again.

CUSTOMISATION IS KEY

New for Autumn/Winter 21, STELAR encourages customisation, with a new range of coin purses and bag charms that make use of the brand's sustainable leather and skilfully woven grasses. A highlight; the humble bumble bee is extolled through a playful new bag charm, which fuses the brand's distinctive cotton-blend jacquard with intricately woven atta grass on a miniature scale.

Every piece in STELAR's Autumn/Winter 21 range denotes the brand's deep reverence for nature's harmony. An anchored sense of the ethereal permeates the collection, which is grounded by a rich bracken brown, and infused with night-sky blacks, as well as deep ferny greens. In favouring the folkloric, Lorna has created a collection of the earth, for the earth, that acknowledges the inherent value of nature's primal beauty.
